When the hands stopped spinning, he opened his mouth to declare the time - accurate despite the reaction of his eyes - and then awareness of who he was looking at came to him. The page stoops to pick up one of the slightly withered tendrils that once had bound Tick Tock. They waggle the vine and an eyebrow, trying to set the clock at ease.
