It's been almost a week since she first remembered, since she first gained a sense of self outside of her duty. Since then, she's made a habit of getting herself to the inner gardens every morning for a walk. At first glance, this morning is no different.
The artificial sky is a clear blue, peeking through the canopies of the trees above her. Amazing flowers bloom all around, and each one is different. Blue, orange, striped, floating, round petals, sparkling petals...every time she walks through here, she sees something new. Much of her time here is spent admiring the nature around her, so she never gets too far into the gardens.
She is passing a pond with glittering waters when she hears an unusual sound, something she has never heard in these gardens. It's a mixture of creaking and rustling, as if something is growing and moving through the brush. Her curiosity is piqued. She walks towards the sound with the intention of finding out what it is, and as soon as she rounds the corner of the path she is walking, she sees them.
The vines.
They're large, thorny, and moving ever closer. The speed of their approach is much quicker than one would expect plants to be capable of, and they seem to change directions slightly as soon as she comes near them – they start growing towards her. A sense of danger surges through her veins. These plants seem...different, somehow, not like the other plants she's seen here.
"What are those...?" She backs up. She needs to warn whoever else is in these gardens. She doesn't know what dangers these vines pose, but they're not giving her a good feeling. The canopies of the trees are too thick for her to see through if she takes to the sky, so she'll need to go by foot.
Wasting no time, she takes off running, away from the vines. "Is anyone there?" she calls out as she runs. "Hello?"
