incesturbation: (a matter of perspective.)

[ In the Grand Hall, twin Fairest are standing near the doorway to the Master Bedroom, arguing with hardly a care for whoever passes by. The male Servant is walking a coin over his knuckles. ]

"No, no, it's this way."

"Nonsense, that's far too casual." [ His female counterpart snags the coin just as it reaches his pinky. She puts the coin in her pocket, then makes one appear from thin air. ] "This would be more effective."

"If it's simply a matter of attention, shouldn't it be something more like this?" [ The man takes the coin back from her, then seems to pass it through his palm and catches it in his other hand. ]

[ The two continue to bicker in much the same vein. If anyone happens to watch the debate too closely, they will find themselves suddenly enthralled, unable to look away or move - but still able to speak, at least if they concentrate on it for a few moments. ]

(Afternoon / Any Room / OTA)

Hey! want to join a music group!

[She is coming up to literally anyone and everyone to ask them this question. Unless of course you look sick or injured from the vines mess, and then she will just be looking at you with sad concern. And then asking you to join.]

(Evening / Library / OTA)

[Of course after she's done bothering everyone in existence she spends sometime in the library, looking up books on music. She climbs shelves, despite the danger and the fact that she's made of glass, slipping once or twice before thankfully catching herself.]

[Except for when she doesn't, if anyone feels like catching a girl made of glass (closed for igirisu-sama)]

[When she gets the books she needs, she carries a heavy stack of them over to a desk. A few fall from the stack to the floor and she stumbles on them. She piles them high on the desk. Occasionally a few drop on her when she pulls one from the stack and she spends a few minutes spazzing and setting the fallen books to the side.]

[Of course it isn't long before she grows bored of reading, and hums to herself, dancing in her chair, before eventually just falling asleep.]

(ooc: feel free to have your character respond to any of the actions she takes during the library scene, not just her falling asleep at the end.

Scenario A - The Dining Hall

[ You may find the forge - now called Ember - around here quite a lot over the days following the vines' retreat. She's often pacing around the huge table on the floor, looking at its structure carefully; or scaling it, taking measurements and examining the table's edge; or sometimes using her power over metal to peel away large strips from the giant dinner plates set out for the residents. She's obviously busy, but she'll stop to talk if anyone cares to ask what she's up to. ]

Scenario B - The Hearth Room

[ Ember is often laboring away over her possession-body, using its heat to help craft the metal she's brought back from the dining hall as she'd like without having to use up so much of her magic to do it. She may be twining together long, sturdy cables of metal rope, or molding small chunks of metal into pulleys, or crafting rods into sharp and durable nails, or bending long strips of metal into a wire frame. When she's working so hard, she could probably use a reminder to take a break and rest sometimes. ]

[Oh boy, it's this again. Late in the night, when the vines have almost entirely filled the house, and a great deal of them are on fire, Mason finally decides to speak up. He doesn't sound pleased.]

No, no, no, no! Stop! Just stop, you're done, all of you are done!

You have it - you've got your truce! Just hand over those bloody fire starters and we'll call it even!

[OOC: Mason will be heard all over the house. Feel free to assume you are in the same room as other people when he does his replies. Replies will be more spotty this time, and he will probably ignore people if they aren't saying things that aren't particularly pertinent.]

[General purpose event log for those fighting the vines! Please put the time of the day and location in your header. The breakdown of vine movement will go like this:

Morning: Garden will be completely filled with large quantities of vines spilling out into the Grand Hall.

Afternoon: Vines will have found their way to the other rooms, and will be fighting for dominance of the areas. At this point, everywhere will be infected, at least partially.

Night: Do or die time. Heavy saturation of vines will have moved into every room, will be blocking exits, and will start penetrating less obvious areas that people might be hiding.

Of course, the counter efforts will effect this to some degree, but ultimately the vines will be coming on pretty fast.

You can also make as many private or public logs as you want on your own - this is just for if you don't feel like it warrants its own post/for general mingling.]

It's been days now since he found himself stranded here. In that span of time, Squawky Man has only managed to grow more frustrated, more irritated, and more desperate to get some kind of grip on the situation. He's been searching the house for anything that might be of help, but so far has turned up with nothing.

Enough was enough. If the obvious tactics weren't doing any good, he was going to have to resort to more drastic measures. He's only met one being so far who had any idea what was going on, and he intends to make use of that. He stands at the top of one of the larger staircases, hand resting on the banister near a large vase of flowers, and yells sharply toward the center of the room, "Mason!" And in a more level (though still quite irritated) tone of voice, "I have some questions that need answering. If you don't want to cooperate, then..." He lifts his hand to the side of the vase and gives it a quick shove over the railing. A few seconds later, it shatters against the floor of the hall. "Too bad about the interior decorating." He smirks. "Got it?"

Without waiting for an answer, he snatches up a nearby lamp and smashes it against the wall. He proceeds like this through the house, tearing down curtains, kicking aside any moveable objects at his feet, and leaving a trail of damaged furniture in his wake.

THE INNER GARDENS
What is called the Inner Gardens is really more like an indoor forest. The deceptively modest circular entrance way leads into a huge, naturalistic garden that bursts with trees and plant life from all over the cosmos. The areas closest to the entrance are set up in appropriately artistic arrangements, whereas the thicker areas further back become more like a lush jungle. There are several ponds as well as one larger lake near the entrance, with an artful waterfall plunging into its depths. While the gardens are actually within the house, the sky appears to reflect day and night, and the flora reacts accordingly, the night cycle filled with phosphorous lights of dazzling colours.

THE MASTER BEDROOM
The most notable feature of the Master Bedroom is its size - that is, the beds and furniture are over twelve feet tall and proportioned to match, seemingly built to host giants. Those that have spent time within for their durance will not recall it being so large - seemingly the size difference is just another trick of the house. On the bright side, being so small makes the bedroom a vast territory of flowing silk tapestries and pristine blankets - the central bed itself could be used to host nearly two dozen people, other luxurious couches and pillows aside. Though the windows appear to lead to an outside world, they are tragically just an illusion - the landscapes behind them change on a regular basis, displaying beautiful scenery from all over the multiverse.

THE GRAND HALL
A maze of stairwells and doors, the Grand Hall is not vast in proportion so much as it is vast in sheer depth. Several layers deep and containing what must be thousands of doors, it is allegedy a portal to almost every room in the house. These tangled pathways are lit by a great number of ever-burning candles, as well as the shimmering blue light that streams in from the ornate stained glass that covers the entire upper ceiling - images chronicling historical events of strange alien worlds you've never seen. Every now and then, the glass itself will shift, animating the tale and ushering it on to the next chapter of the story.

Of the many doors in this hall, very few are unlocked - and those still closed are sealed with something far more powerful than what mere physical force can break.
